do you have some money?
AGAIN! i kena corner with the ‘do you have some money’ situation.
you must kena before also. maybe i should not say kena. kena sound like bad.
my story today
i wanted to blog about my happy buy at toapayoh. finally after so long i found our favourite $10 mummy pants! bought 3 somemore. spent all the $30 in my purse. empty already. so went to replenish $20.
with $20 in my purse i board the bus to work. alighted one stop earlier so i can WITHDRAW money (cuz only after 2pm the cheque cleared. its for other reason) and then i heard a man1 voice calling man2 who’s walking before me…
man1: hello! excuse me? can you help?
man2 look and walk away.
yikes MY TURN to walk pass…man1 look at me, then i thought i siam already BUT NO then he call me
man1: exucse me! excuse me! can you help?! my son having asthma attack, we needa go KK hospital. my wife have carelessly left her handbag in the clinic and we can’t find our anuty at Block##. do you have $5 or $10 for taxi?
me: er….i….er….
at this moment a woman push a stroller out with a kids about dot’s age inside.
man1: we really needa go
me: ok i get you a cab
man1: thank you thank you…(we walk to the main road) if you have $20 even better cuz i dun money for return.
me: orh…
oh got taxi! *flag*flag*
me: (talking to driver) uncle, they dun have money and they needa go KK hospital. here’s $10 please send them there.
at that moment i thought i was smart not to give them the money directly.
man1: do you have another $10 so we can have a return trip back.
THEN I GAVE THEM! ok i was pressured. cars was horning behind and THE KID! waaaahh i was in a very difficult situation leh. i see kids i very heart-soft one.
anyway, now i’m $20 poorer.
if they are genuine, my $20 also can’t do much. but as you read the above, isn’t it waaaaaay too many loop holes?
Loophole1: i walked pass the clinic and there’s a sign that says they will be closed till 22/7, so how can they see doctor and manage to leave her purse inside? ok fine, maybe its another clinic then.
Loophole2: didn’t they saw a doctor and left the purse behind? ok fine, maybe the kid got worst.
Loophole3: no money to take cab, got money to go KK? its $80 upfront one leh. ok fine, maybe they have credit card! then can charge to taxi what?!
Loophole4: why need $10 to return. if KK can discharge you, they can take public transpot what. ok fine, its tiring and strenuos with kid…then again you got no money so choose the economy way.
Loophole5: the most obvious…kiddo dun look sick. ok fine, all kids are like that one. they can be very sick but when they are outside the house, they can be distrcted and look slightly ok.
whatever it is, nobody wanna ask/bluff/beg people for money if possible. they won’t do that for fun right? if they really no money and the above story they say is fake, i hope they took my $10 to feed their child.
at times like this….what would jesus do? Jesus would already know they bluff and give them a good teaching and they will walk to correct way and never do it again.
so after you read my story…
do you have some money for me?

Hmmm, it really does sound like you got kotok! as all your loopholes state, they really don’t sound genuine. and YES, if you don’t have money, take the bus!!!
don’t worry, Jesus knows the good works you do
