Little Mrs Forgetful

December 8, 2008 at 6:04 am (i only thinking)

i’ve been so forgetful is affecting my life. i so afaird i will one day leave dorothy in a stroller somewhere while i dig the ‘90% off’ sale bin…yikes…this is what i gather…

Q: Why am I so forgetful?

A: The most probable explanation for your “mommy brain” is a simple one: You’re tired and distracted. “As the mother of a 6-month-old, you’re likely to be sleep-deprived and focused more on your baby’s well-being than anything else,” says pediatrician Jennifer Shu of the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth. “It’s natural that you’re letting less important things fall by the wayside.” There’s also a chance that your hormones might be making your memory a bit fuzzy, particularly if you’re breastfeeding, but there’s not much research to back this theory up. One important caution: If your memory problems are accompanied by anxiety, a lack of interest in formerly pleasurable activities, or other signs of a mood disorder, you may need to be evaluated by an expert for postpartum depression.

i’ve left a million item in many different taxi boot. handphone, lugguage (thankfully empty) and the latest dorothy’s rocking chair, on loan from my dear friend and a bag of sunday school materials.  should say ‘thankfully’ nobody blame me at all. no scolding, no reprimanding, no demand to return things, no harsh reminder…only kindness after kindness.

kindness 1 – rocking chair owner. his response – aiyah! nevermind lah!

kindness 2- sunday school superintendent. his response – dun worry, if really cannot get back, we’ll purchase again.

kindness 3- a church sister. her reponse – let me pay for the new set of materials.

kindness 4- the material distributor. his reponse – some material no more already, i can photocopy for you…oh this other material also no stock, let memgive you another set, no charge…

waaaaaaah….i’m so touch by all this people’s gestures. its not about the money, its about how people teach me to remember my things, with kindess.  victoria is so affected by my constant rant of losing things, nowadays she takes the taxi she’ll say, take your bag, dun lose your bag, where’s your bag?? so glad i have a little external hardisk to help me remember things now.  thank YOU all for the kindness.

BUT i still blame dorothy for my forgetfulness…ha ha ha
