i’m actually ‘writing backwards’ compensating to you, faithful readers, the lost days. i always have dying in my head. i’m afraid what if i die, will bikermice dress my girls properly? i’m not joking. you CANNOT trust a man to dress little girls, they’ll end up looking like boys or like they just woken up from a long hibernation. he’ll prob cut their hair, forgot their nails, watch tv with chips all day, dehydrated, dusty and surfing internet all day. this is just my imagination cuz i know my man is no David Gan or Ted Wu.

i had dying in my head cuz I WAS FREAKING LIKE DYING!! i had FEVER forever! since day2 of cycling, i fever fever fever till sunday noon, then i thought i well already. next day went check up with dorothy, come home, fever again! and then fever fever, cannot already, did blood test, so scared got hfmd, dengue, chikungunya…THANK GOD ALL CLEAR! so i just safely nurse my fever and the pounding headache (i can’t even cough without the headache) and finally saw some light TODAY, which is also a thursday from the day i collected the bicycle, it’s been a week!

yesterday, while i’m still fevering, Dorothy’s turn to have spots all over her feet and palms! ahh hfmd?? wiow really like the chinese syaing yi-po-wei-ping-yi-po-you-qi! rushed to thomson med, she so young, never know what’s going on man! onnce again THANK GOD! its prob virul rash from previus bout of virus which prob not shown to us exteriorly or a allergic rash. today she’s rash all over already. look like a strawberry.

its already THURSDAY! wasted my last week of maternity leave and the gahmen j.u.s.t announce 4 MONTH MATERNITY LEAVE ahhhhh i want i want i want!!!!

so…it’s day2!

August 20, 2008 at 5:28 pm (Uncategorized)

after the first day’s excitemet bringing victoria on the bicycle home, we set off the next day on the bicycle TO SCHOOL! oh what fun it is to ride on our big big bicycle HEY!

my entourage was waiting for me at the school gate to welcome me. what am i o do with out my family :’-)

after seeing victoria in to the school, my entourage say i’ve lost my tummy after one round of cycling to which timothy say,”i don’t know, i can’t tell, i better not answer.” that’s the way man DON’T KNOW DON’T SAY! Ha ha ha…love that guy! by then i already half dead again, but my entourage encourage me by telling me whampoa market is only around the corner, oh man, win already. so we zooom there and had a hearty breakfast and with all my fishball power, i cycle home.

every paddle was getting heavier, i was running out of energy, i wanna reach home and QUICK!

finally got home, shower, fed ah dot and i piak onto my bed and slept…FOR HOURS…and woke up with high fever!! can’t believe it. only cycling can make me hot! thankfully my FIL(father in law) volunteer to pick victoria so i can sleep somemore.

victoria came home, ran to my bed side and ask ,’you fever? i no fever. you have flu?’

awww….like a real mother too.

all i wanna do is have some fun

August 20, 2008 at 5:16 pm (Uncategorized)

it was a beautiful thursday (not today but last week) afternoon, with an excited spirit, i went to collect back my old bicycle from my sister’s place hoping to create our very own ’school bus’ to send my NO.1 to school. ahh…things a mother can do for their child…

its been years since i cycle long distance alone and now i’m all set to not only cycle by myself, i’m gonna ferry my Queen to school!! talk about challenging myself after giving birth to lose weight (not my intention here, if really lose, that’ll be a bonus) i really long for bonding time with Victoria. as a working mother… (gaaaah starting work freaking soon!! in 8days time! blogging about that next…stay tune.) i dun have much time with my kids and bikermice, so every seconds counts! literally every second. i’ll take any possible oppotunity to

-bath them myself
-pack her child care school bag
-give stickers
-go playground
-eat bak chor mee (she also eat!)
-lim teh peng (only little bit lah)
-sing ‘funky town’ like chipmunks
-memorise thomas and train’s name so can sing the theme song (i’m very good with that already…come lah, test me!)
-play bubble
-read a million book (10books X 10,000 time each

so what else i wouldn’t do?

here we go on Project RunAway - Revamp of the Bicycle (given to me on my hen’s nite in 2006…awww…thanks sistas!)

here’s the uncle who gave the bicycle her revamp. check out his assistant and the shop man! they are really Lao-Dang-Yi-Zhuang! but he, he dun people kan cheong kan cheong around him and ask him this and that ha ha ha…i only as one question he say (translated) ,”slowly slowly, one thing at a time hor” then he frown. oh ma ma…

the many tools uncle used to give ’school bus’ her facelifts…

while waiting for the operation to be finish, we wander around the shop. make a guess, what are these??

–>

SEATS!! you got it? heh heh they handmade them with staple gun and sell you for $15!

ok now guess what’s this

–>

… give up?

its an ALLEN KEY! this giant one is like 50times the size of those you get in those Ikea packages to screw your desk. he used this to unscrew the handle bar…i’m impress (so easily hor ha ha)

wait wait wait…

and TADAH! the facelift was incredible…ok, it didn’t made her into super power bike but with a new added basket for school bag (and cute helmet donated by her yi ma), handle bar higher, seat lower, brake fixed, more oil for the paddle, tighten here, loosen there and of course, a brand new seat for her majesty…LET THE RIDE BEGIN!

we had a wonderful time ride together, mother and daughter, heart to heart…she kinda freakout half way, mumbling…,”mmmmmuuuuummmmmiiiieeeeee” hur hur hur

we reach home safely but i half dead already and all set for day 2!!
