long sighted

after the dramatic show you have watched in the previous blog, there was a moment where she rest and rest her eyes from all the crying. i played a game with her, i cover her left eye and ask

me: can you see mummy?

vic: yesshh

then i cover her right and ask

me: can you see mummy?

vic: … (she turn her head)

me: can you see mummy? (panicking)

vic: No. i cannot seeeeeee….

i F.R.E.A.K.E.D. out!

my right eye was diagnosed with lazy eye when i was 6. to correct it, you have to patch it before 7 to force the lazy one to work. but my mom didn’t force me. so now i’m living with a almost blind right eye. betcha you can’t tell right my beautiful eye are actually not working ha ha…

some people tell me that its hereditory and that i got mine from my aunt and my mother always so i is very suay to kena from her (she just love blaming others. she forgotten who’s my mother hur hur hur…) i very worried that she also have lazy eye. i was determine to stand firm if she have to patch her eyes. i tell myself i must not give in even if she cry like mad or disown me.

so we went to check with polyclinic doc first. reason why i always go polyclinic for referal is, kids’ doc are so expensive!!! so i rather queue a little longer. poor people die first ha ha ha…

so finally, yesterday was THE day. i think i was more worried than her. not the result but more like she won’t cooperate with the doc and whatever they gonna do.

see how prfeesional she is

we have go to so many rooms for so many different thing.

room1
so impressive!!

the moment she enter, the doc ask her to sit on a big chair which is meant for ’special girls only’ heh heh so clever to bluff hor…then she say ‘count to 3 and there’s gonna be something special for you’. in my mind i was like, yah right,, what else. must be stickers, gummy lor. then vic say 1, 2 ,3…

tadah! music and lights from the other end of the room. its a box with 3 compartment. inside go battery operated meowing cat, elephant playing drum and a worm trying to get out. SO CUTE LOR! doc say,’oh you like tv? howb aout this’ and lo and behold the tv’s on with tom and jerry. ‘oh you dun like tom and jerry? how about BARNEY?!’

AI SAY! WIN ALREADY!

all the above are controlled by some buttons on the doc’s table. so cool! it really made vic less tense. but she very shy. she just stare at the doc whenever she ask her question.

GAMES TIME! match the picture. the doc gave her an A4 size paper with black images on them e.g. house, boots, apple… she had a smimilar one which she show her from a far and ask her to say the things she can see. the images becomes smaller and smaller until i cannot see…but vic can! only her left eye cannot see the second smallest. not so bad.

then come the merry-go-round. go to room 7, room 3, room 10…and lots of waiting…

got toys to entertain her

room 7
the most horrifying one. every kid what goes in will scream and cry. ah! is the room to drip eye drops to dilate the pupil. need to have 3 sets of drop with 5 mins interval. i so worry she’ll cry so we practice outside. thankfully she very good mood, she practice and when’s her turn she drip with very little struggle.

everytime she drip, she gets to choose a sticker. see how happy she is. the whole proces in the eye centre was filled with stickers, gummy, chocolate, toys and watching other kids cry ha ha…victoria so brave.

all thanks go to God who hear my prayers. she’s only having long sighted, a common thing for her age. she needs go check again next year.

thank you God for hearing our prayer. Amen.
